"Printful is great to deal with - and very helpful customer service."
I cannot praise the services of Printful enough. I like how postage prices are more upfront and not somewhat a guessing game. Estimated delivery timeframes are given too - which is awesome; and very handy to be able to let customers know of an approximate timeframe to expect their orders. Customer Service is also very pleasant and helpful. I will be utilising Printful's services for all my product requirements. Thankyou Printful!

"Volunteer-based team had a learning curve but working well now"
We're an all-volunteer group doing print to order. There was a bit of a learning curve for us - we linked to our existing Wix store so had some issues with items we carry not synching with our Printful items and then that delaying fulfillment. Figured that out luckily. We also are small and from a no sales tax state, so had an issue with Printful collecting sales tax where it was not needed. Figured that out too thanks to customer service. So overall good experience but certainly a learning curve. Recommend reviewing the Printful Perks program - that helped us with discounts when we bought items for volunteer recognition.

"Convenient but with a few limitations"
I've been using Printful for about 2 years now. I've built a number of online stores around products I design and have had decent success with my stores.
First I'd like to talk about some of the really good things about Printful that I've experienced.
Their tools to integrate with WordPress to setup an easy-to-manage store have been flawless for me. The UI to build my products and create various versions of things with the same art has been extremely easy to use. The print and embroidered quality of the items I've purchased so far have been stellar. I've received a ton of positive feedback about how well the shirts hold up in the wash. They're also convenient; I don't have to hold stock or worry about getting stuck with a bunch of XS shirts that won't sell. They print and ship directly from their facilities to my customers which up until earlier this year, their turnaround times were extremely quick and reliable.
Now the downside --
COVID messed up everything for a lot of printers. Between not being able to get the supplies they need, to the explosion of demands and the restrictions on staff availability, many printers and manufacturing companies have suffered. Because of this, Printful had a monstrous turnaround time for simple products and wound up having to limit the sale of certain items. I'm not going to lay the blame on them but it's something that people have to consider when ordering custom products online right now.
The reasons I've taken off a star are:
1) because I feel like the print area on a number of their products is far smaller than I can get at other printers. The all-over printing option definitely helps address those limits but at a decent boost in the base product price.
2) Unfortunately the only way to turn a decent profit per product is to sell in large numbers because in order to keep the cost down you have to sacrifice your margins. Selling 1 or 2 shirts a month isn't going to net you very much.
Overall I've been happy with my experience with Printful. My requests for help have been answered extremely quick and politely and on the first try.

Very good startup, excellent print quality and best customer service I have ever encountered. Very helpful and accommodating no matter what the situation was.
I definitely recommend them!
